I can leave my little guy in his crate for a few hours without incident at this age so grabbing a drink or something in the afternoon is no problem but I'm finding myself backing of from having dates at night time because I don't want to disrupt his feeding/sleeping schedule (I live in a studio and he sleeps right next to me in his crate). And certainly "overnight visits" aren't possible without boarding. So I have kind of an interesting discussion topic that I'd love some feedback on.

However, there are some great restaurants and breweries that are cool with dogs so I'm looking forward to that! Also, I had no idea about the dog sport community being like that!
I don't plan on introducing that to him but thanks for the heads up!
I even got to play some golf last weekend with the help of the neighbors letting him out!
He actually sleeps through the night at this point so an overnight at mine definitely isn't out of the question.
Kind of reminds me of the movie Best In Show Dude, how are you not drowning in pussy, assuming you are straight?
I’m already married, but many of my female friends who use dating sites say doggy pics are a HUGE plus.
Besides, whenever I take my pup out to the mall to socialize, I’m always immobilized by swarms of women of all ages. Well I just got him a week and a half ago and just put him up on my dating profile. I live in a pretty small town but ya, I gotta get to the hot spots and post up. Even though it's not ideal, it's okay to disrupt his schedule a little bit to focus on you imo.
I'm sure your dates won't mind meeting your puppy. A dinner/drink at 7/8PM won't usually take more than a couple of hours, just make sure you tire him out really good before hand!
He went from being "not really a dog person" to a total dog lover and the best co-dog "parent" ever. Plus the pup will get older quick and a lot of OP's concerns won't be issues for long.
I wouldn't leave a dog overnight but he could always have his date at his place (or have a friend watch the dog, I have a few friends who love my pup and would jump at the chance to hang with her ...
You may even find that having a puppy opens up the possibilities to a whole bunch of new relationships - having a puppy is a ridiculous way to break the ice. You'll get amazing insights as to the personality of your date based on how they interact with your puppy. :p You can totally use your puppy as a dating foil.
