If the CFW is not permanent, when you restart it returns back to the original state.
Every time you turn off your console (by holding the switch like 10 seconds) you will have to run the Fast Recovery utility to activate the CFW again.
But If you have a PSP 1000/2000 it’s possible to make the CFW permanent using CIPL_Flasher, if your model is not supported it will tell you so.
You can use our wizard or the Hackinformer site to specify your PSP and discover which process will work for yours.
From here on, this guide will focus on the editor choice PRO CFW.
So far, the PSP Street (E) is the only device not capable of custom firmware.
All devices (but Street) are capable of custom firmware, but not all of them are as straightforward as the PSP 1000.Never put ISO files inside the PSP\GAME folder they will show as corrupted data. You can play games in the UMD drive, you can play games you bought from the store, but when it comes to trying to play games in an unconventional manner, you will hit a road block.Create a folder on the root of the memory stick named “ISO”.The root is “not inside any folder” and copy the ISO files you download inside of that folder. There are versions of Pro CFW that will run on older firmwares, but updating to 6.60 will guarantee the best compatibility for your official games.
